Job description
Code Engine Studio (CES) was founded in 2014 by a Canadian entrepreneur who believed that the best businesses don't just create value — they create meaning. Not as a tagline, but as a way of operating in the world. For him, success was never the destination. It was the starting point for something more important: building great things with great people, creating work that matters, and contributing something genuinely valuable to the world.
A decade in, we're evolving and we're doing it with purpose. Code Engine Studio is transforming from a traditional software engineering service company into an AI-first company. That means we're not just helping clients navigate AI transformation, we're actively reshaping how we work ourselves: how we build, solve problems, collaborate, and create value every day.
We work in English, serve international clients, and operate with a mindset that transcends borders. Our team is curious, adaptable, and constantly learning as technology evolves. For the right person, this is a rare opportunity to grow inside a company that is not standing still, but actively reinventing itself for what's next.
Our values show up in the way we act. These aren't aspirations. They're just how things work here.
- Pursuit of Excellence: We don't settle — we push for better, and we hold each other to that standard.
- Hungry to Learn: We stay curious, stay humble, and never stop growing.
- Humbly Listen, Bravely Speak: We listen to understand — not just to respond — and we speak honestly even when it's uncomfortable.
- We Before Me: And when something goes wrong, no one looks for someone to blame — we look for a way forward, together.
Underneath everything is something harder to articulate but easy to feel once you're here: WE CARE. Not as a policy, not as a perk — but as the quiet force behind every decision we make. We care whether our clients truly succeed. We care about the world we're all building together. And we care about you — not just the work you do, but who you're becoming while you do it.
Within 12 months, give Code Engine Studio a market position worth buying and a marketing engine that feeds the sales pipeline: turn our AI-first transformation into clearly packaged, differentiated service offerings for the Singapore market, and generate a steady flow of qualified leads and meetings for the sales team. This is a pipeline-marketing role, not a brand-marketing role — your success is measured in qualified conversations created, not impressions.
1. Positioning and Offer Packaging — propose and own, with CEO/COO approval
- Own the company's market positioning as an AI-first services company for premium B2B buyers in Singapore, building on existing internal positioning work.
- Define and maintain the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) together with the CEO and sales team.
- Package 1–2 flagship service offerings with a clear name, scope, pricing logic, and measurable client outcomes — and keep them sharp as market feedback comes in.
- Ensure every client-facing touchpoint (website, LinkedIn, decks, proposals) tells the same, differentiated story.
2. Lead Generation — fill the top of the funnel
- Design and run outbound & inbound programs that produce qualified meetings for the sales team: targeted contact lists (Apollo.io), LinkedIn outreach sequences, email campaigns, and event-driven campaigns in Singapore.
- Own lead qualification criteria and the handover process from marketing to sales; keep marketing data clean in the CRM (Pipedrive).
- Report monthly on pipeline contribution: leads generated, meetings booked, and conversion through the funnel.
3. Sales Enablement and Content — arm the people who sell
- Produce the assets sales conversations depend on: case studies, company profile, service one-pagers, pitch deck templates, and a website that reflects our positioning.
- Direct and develop the Marketing Executive; engage freelancers or agencies within approved budget when needed.
- Build brand visibility as a by-product of pipeline work — primarily through founder and CEO LinkedIn presence and published client results — rather than as a standalone objective.
Must-have
- 5–8 years of B2B marketing experience for tech services, software outsourcing, or tech consulting sold to international markets (Singapore or Southeast Asia strongly preferred).
- Proven, verifiable pipeline results: you can show specific numbers of leads, meetings, or sales-accepted opportunities your marketing programs created — not engagement or follower metrics.
- Hands-on experience with positioning and offer packaging for a service business: you have turned capabilities into named, priced, outcome-based offerings before.
- Working command of the modern demand-generation stack: LinkedIn outreach, contact databases (e.g., Apollo.io), email sequencing, CRM hygiene (e.g., Pipedrive), and AI-assisted content workflows.
- Native-quality written English at a publishable standard for premium B2B buyers in Singapore.
- Enough understanding of AI and software services to write credibly about them and brief technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-have
- Experience marketing AI, data, or digital transformation services.
- Experience at a Vietnam-based services company selling internationally.
- A track record of working as a close partner to a sales team or founder-led sales motion.
- Experience working through a company transformation or repositioning phase.
This role is not a fit if:
- Your track record is primarily brand campaigns, social media growth, or consumer marketing.
- Your results are measured mainly in impressions, followers, or engagement rather than pipeline.
