JOB SUMMARY

The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing A&U Group’s internal accounting operations, financial reporting, and cost control. The role ensures the accuracy and completeness of accounting records, monitors financial transactions, reviews vendor invoices and payment documents, and coordinates with external tax service providers to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Internal Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Oversee daily accounting activities, including revenue, expenses, cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reports.
• Reconcile accounting records with restaurant operations and supporting documents.
• Monitor financial transactions and investigate discrepancies.

2. Cost Control & Internal Control

• Monitor operating costs, food costs, inventory, and other expenses across restaurant outlets.
• Review and control payment requests, invoices, and supporting documents.
• Establish and maintain internal accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Identify cost discrepancies and recommend improvements.

3. Vendor & Tax Coordination

• Review vendor invoices, contracts, and payment documents to ensure accuracy and validity.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies in invoices and supporting documents.
• Work with external tax service providers on tax declarations and related matters.
• Review tax-related documents and reports prepared by service providers to ensure accuracy and completeness.

4. Budgeting & Financial Analysis

• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Analyze actual expenses against budgets and identify variances.
• Provide financial insights to support management decisions.

5. Team Management & Process Improvement

• Manage and guide the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate work.
• Review accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain proper accounting records and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including experience in a supervisory or Chief Accountant role.
• Candidates with experience in the F&B industry, especially multi-outlet restaurant operations, will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Vietnamese accounting standards and internal accounting practices.
• Experience in cost control, vendor invoice checking, and financial reporting.
• Experience in F&B or multi-outlet operations is an advantage.
• Proficient in accounting software and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, integrity, and communication skills.
